Inside this month’s issue
In a year where travel was severely restricted, it was a testament to the organisation and hard work of Formula 1 and the teams to put on a show of 17 races across 24 weekends in such difficult circumstances.
A season mainly concentrated in Europe did bring about the return of classic venues such as Imola, Istanbul Park and the Nürburgring and we were treated to new Formula 1 races at Mugello, Portimão and a revised layout in Bahrain.
At that race Sergio Pérez became the latest first-time winner of a Grand Prix, following in the footsteps of Pierre Gasly, who also took his maiden victory at a memorable Italian Grand Prix.
On track there were many great moments throughout the 17 races and in this special issue we take a pictorial look back over every race, as well as featuring stats and results to form a perfect record of an epic season.
From Romain Grosjean’s miraculous escape from his dreadful Bahrain accident, to the drama of Lewis Hamilton’s last lap puncture at the British Grand Prix which set the foundations for an incredible seventh FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship. 2020 was a year none of us will ever forget.
